Statistics: demand for travel insurance in Russia increased by 30%

According to Sravni, in May 2022 the sales of travel insurance for all destinations increased by 130% compared to May last year. The average check for insurance was 1.9 thousand rubles. The most popular regions for Russian tourists this season are the Schengen countries, Turkey, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Russia, Armenia and Georgia. At the same time, Sravni experts note an increase in interest in domestic tourism. Compared to last May, the number of covered insurance policies sold in Russia increased by 21%. According to the analytical center of the travel and travel service Tutu.ru, in Russia in May 2022 of the year, independent travelers made 41,1% of flights.
