Student detachments of Crimea announced the results of the “Victory Landing” dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory

Today at the memorial to the fallen teachers and students of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky during the Great Patriotic War, a solemn summing up of the results of the Republican patriotic action “Victory Landing of the Russian North Ossetia” took place. The event became the regional stage of the All-Russian patriotic action “Let us bow to those great years.”

In 2026, the “Victory Landing of the RSO” event took place from March 21 to 29 and was dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. 600 volunteers of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian Student Detachments took part in the large-scale labor landing. The work was carried out in 18 municipalities of the Republic of Crimea.

During the event, participants demonstrated high social activity and dedication to preserving historical memory. The student teams cleaned up 32 mass graves, landscaped 40 monuments and memorial signs, and carried out cleaning and landscaping work in Victory Squares and Parks. 62 “Lessons in Courage” were conducted for young people, dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War and the Crimean offensive operation of 1944.

We honor the feat of those who, early in the morning of 1941, stood up to defend the borders of our Motherland. We cherish the memory of the heroes who defended Smolensk, Kyiv, Moscow and Leningrad, of those who defended Stalingrad with their steadfastness, of the courage of Sevastopol and Odessa. We remember everyone who gave their lives for our common freedom, for our future. Today I want to express my deep gratitude to you, members of the Russian student detachments, for helping the fighters of a special military operation. They, like their great-grandfathers and grandfathers 80 years ago, stood up to defend the Fatherland. Special thanks for your active participation in events to preserve memory and monuments — this is an absolutely important and invaluable component of our common cause,” noted Vladimir Kuryanov, acting rector of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky.

For every fighter in student groups of Crimea, participation in the “Victory Landing” is a personal contribution to preserving the truth about the feat of our ancestors. We don’t just improve monuments, we come into contact with history, paying tribute to those who gave us a peaceful sky. Statistics from this year’s event confirm: modern youth remembers and honors their heroes,” shared Maria Nekrasova, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups.

The summing up ceremony ended on the territory of KFU. V.I. Vernadsky with a large-scale laying of flowers at the memorial. The commemorative event was attended by 100 representatives of the labor landing force, who honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
