Student detachments of Crimea summed up the results of the republican patriotic action “Victory Landing”

The Crimean regional branch of the Russian student detachments officially completed the labor stage of the “Victory Landing” campaign, which took place on the territory of the peninsula from March 21 to 29. This year, the project brought together 600 active fighters of the movement, who directed their efforts to preserve historical memory and improve iconic places in the region.

During the campaign, volunteers covered 18 municipalities of the republic, where they carried out tremendous work to improve the territories. The participants of the “Victory Landing” successfully landscaped 40 monuments and 32 mass graves, which became a significant contribution of young people to the preservation of cultural heritage and preparation of the region for memorable dates.

In addition to the labor component, the action had an important educational mission. In the schools of the republic, fighters from student groups conducted 62 thematic lessons aimed at patriotic education of the younger generation and strengthening knowledge about the history of the Great Patriotic War. The large-scale project once again confirmed the readiness of Crimean youth to cherish the history of their country and prove their loyalty to the traditions of the generation of winners.

For us, “Victory Landing” is not just an annual event, but a duty to the generation of winners. This year, 600 of our soldiers have done a colossal amount of work — this is our real, tangible contribution to preserving the historical memory of Crimea. I am proud of every fighter who these days, despite the weather and physical stress, worked for the good of our Motherland. By their example, Crimean students prove that modern youth honor history and are responsible for the future of their country, — noted Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups.
