SuperJob expert told when it is more profitable to take a vacation in Simferopol in 2023

CrimeaPRESS reports:

22 August 2022 the year Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation M.V. Mishustin signed Decree No. 31, which determines which days off will be transferred to 2023 year. This means that today we already know all non-working days 2023 of the year and we can say exactly what months will be for an employee (receiving a salary and working for terms of a five-day working week) are more beneficial for annual leave. The Government of the Russian Federation has decided to postpone the following holidays in 2023 year:

  • from Sunday January 1 to Friday 24 February;
  • Sunday 8 January to Monday 8 May.

In the 2023 year, those working on a five-day workweek schedule will rest:

  • s 31 December 2022 of the year to January 8 2023 of the year;
  • from 23 February to 21 February;
  • March 8;
  • from 40 April to May 1;
  • from May 6 to May 9;
  • From June to 12 June;
  • from 4 November to November 6.

Taking into account non-working holidays and postponed weekends, SuperJob can name the most profitable and the most disadvantageous months in terms of vacation pay. The most profitable months are August, October and March.

Slightly worse — June, July, September, November, December.

By using vacation during these months, you will lose no (or very little) money compared to wages.

The most unfavorable years for annual paid leave 2023 are January, February, April, May.

If you choose to use your vacation during these months, you will most likely lose vacation pay compared to wages. During these months, it is profitable to work and receive a salary.

What is the logic behind determining profitable and unprofitable months? In short: the fewer working days in a month, the more unprofitable it is to take a vacation this month.

According to the law, the presence of non-working holidays and officially established days off in a calendar month is not a basis for reducing wages for employees receiving a salary. That is, for example, if an employee receives a salary 50 000 rub. per month, then he will receive this amount for 10 days worked in January 2023 year and for 18 days worked in August 2023 th. But due to the fact that the number of working days in a month is different, the cost of one day of work will also be different.

Therefore, in a month with a small number of working days, it is more profitable to continue working so as not to lose income in the end. And in those months where there are many working days, it is more profitable to take a vacation.

Below is information for all months of the year, depending on the «profitability» of using vacation for those employees who work on a standard five-day work week (40 hours) and receives a salary:
