Issues of the importance of supporting NWO participants and their families are discussed at a seminar-meeting of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. As part of the event, the chairmen of interdepartmental commissions in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the heads of regional branches of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation discuss the main tasks of the foundation and exchange best practices for supporting veterans of a special military operation and families of fallen soldiers.
Participation in the seminar-meeting for the heads of interdepartmental commissions on work with the State Fund «Defenders of the Fatherland», which takes place in Moscow at the RANEPA, is accepted by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya.
Within the framework of the event, issues of organizing the work of the service of social coordinators, medical rehabilitation of veterans of a special military operation, psychological and psychotherapeutic assistance, employment, sanatorium treatment and others are discussed. The participants of the event will also visit the Unified Support Center for NWO Participants in Moscow to get acquainted with the best practices of supporting veterans of the NWO, and N.N. Priorov, where prosthetic and orthopedic products are produced.
Addressing the participants of the seminar-conference, Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Defenders of the Fatherland Fund, outlined the key features of the State Fund.
The created fund is about justice, care and respect for the heroes who defended their country. Therefore, the main professional requirement for all employees of the fund is indifference. In accordance with the instruction of the President of Russia, the fund should work in the «one stop shop» mode, coordinate the activities of ministries and departments, all structures that help veterans return to their usual lives. Therefore, an important task is to assign social coordinators to each veteran and each family of the deceased fighter, who will personally accompany them.— Sergey Kiriyenko noted.
35 social coordinators have already been identified in Crimea. All of them successfully passed personal and professional diagnostics. According to Elena Romanovskaya, from May 15, their training will begin at the Sevastopol State University.
The Crimean Deputy Prime Minister said that in order to ensure the activities of the branch of the Fund on the territory of the Republic, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea provided premises located in Simferopol on the street. Dolgorukovskaya, 3. These premises are within walking distance from public transport stops, administrative buildings of public authorities. They are currently undergoing major renovations.
