Tauric Chersonesos took part in the Museum Routes of Russia project for the second time

The All-Russian Forum «Museum Routes of Russia» took place and 30 September. The forum, which is being held for the second time in 2022 year, is a platform where representatives of the museum community and the tourism industry can discuss the use of mechanisms for promoting cultural institutions, preserving the spiritual, historical and patriotic heritage of Russia, increasing the number of visitors and much more. Director of the museum-reserve Elena Morozova spoke at the expert round table with a report “Tauric Chersonesus. From origins to innovations. She told her colleagues about the achievements of the cultural institution in attracting young people, about the organization of cultural events and the use of new technologies in the museum space. In particular, about multimedia pavilions and touchscreens, about new information stands and a modern navigation system that make Chersonese interesting and accessible to a wide range of visitors.

The director of the museum-reserve dwelled in detail on the implementation of the project “Heritage Volunteers”, the organization of quests “Alexander Nevsky. Legend of Medieval Russia” and “Vladimir the Great”, participation in the programs “Ticket to the Future” and “Big Break”, school subscription “Remember where it all began”, conducting various excursions and master classes. In her speech, Elena Alexandrovna also told her colleagues about the successful showing of performances as part of the Summer Evening in Chersonese program, which allows viewers to enjoy art in the incredible atmosphere of the ancient city. Particular attention was paid to the International Festival of Opera and Ballet «Chersonese» and the tour of the Moscow Theater of Oleg Tabakov, which took place in August this year. Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet based on William Shakespeare’s tragedy «Romeo and Juliet» performed by the leading soloists of the Mikhailovsky Theater, as well as the play «Sailor’s Silence», in which the main roles were played by Vladimir Mashkov and Vladislav Miller, were a huge success and interested audiences of all ages , — reported the press service of the museum-reserve «Tauric Chersonesos».

In the 2022 year, meetings within the framework of the Museum Routes of Russia project are held in 12 regions of the country. After the forum in the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi, Murmansk and Tyumen will take over.
