The Main State Expertise of Russia issued a positive conclusion on the construction of block No. 3 of one of the largest power plants in the Republic of Crimea.
After the commissioning of the new unit, its installed electrical capacity will be more than 723 MW, which will put it in first place in the region.
The installed thermal power generated for the station’s own needs will be about 21.5 Gcal/h. The number of hours of use of the installed electrical capacity after the expansion will be 6552 per year. Fuel for it will come from the Krasnodar Territory — Crimea main gas pipeline.
Construction will be carried out in two stages: the first stage provides for the commissioning of the main equipment of the power unit of station No. 3 of the combined cycle gas cycle (CCGT), and the second stage is planned for the improvement of its territory.
Tavricheskaya TPP is a particularly dangerous and technically complex facility. The general design organization, in coordinated interaction with the developer, carried out a large range of work. In particular, to examine the technical condition of existing engineering systems, networks, industrial buildings, equipment of the existing Simferopol CCGT-TPP, involved in the technological process for the designed power unit of station No. 3.
The developed design documentation and the results of engineering surveys take into account the complex geological and meteorological conditions of the construction site— said the representative of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, the main expert of the project Andrey Bulahtin.
The main equipment of block No. 3 includes a gas turbine unit, a waste heat boiler, a steam turbine unit and auxiliary general unit equipment.
A 60 m high chimney, a station unit with open installation of unit transformers, a backup auxiliary transformer, a water treatment plant building with tank facilities, cable lines, a relay panel building and other buildings, structures and systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of the station were also designed.
