Tax Service of Sevastopol: the income threshold for switching to VAT of 20 million has been retained for another 3 years

Signed and published Law 228-FZ of July 4, 2026which freezes the income threshold at 20 million rubles, above which small businesses must calculate and pay VAT using the simplified tax system.

Let us recall that we are talking about the income of organizations and individual entrepreneurs under the simplified tax system, above which they became payers of value added tax. Initially, it was assumed that from 2027 there would be a gradual reduction in the limit to 15 million rubles, and then to 10 million rubles.

Changes made to article 145 Tax Code and maintain the income threshold of 20 million rubles until 2029.

After 2029, the limit is planned to be reduced in stages: to 15 million rubles from 2030 and to 10 million rubles from 2031.

A smoother transition will help small businesses maintain employment and provide stability in tax conditions.
