The Accounts Chamber in Crimea revealed violations during the year in the expenditure of funds amounting to 6.3 billion rubles

This year we identified 2,023 violations, which is three times more than last year. The total volume of violations that our inspections have covered is 6.3 billion rubles at the moment. Last year this figure was 7.9 billion rubles— said Dodonov.

According to the head of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Crimea, the vast majority of violations were not significant and mainly related to shortcomings in documentation.

The emphasis this year was on procurement audits. About 1,400 violations were identified in this area, he noted.

Most often, organizations simply forgot that they needed to make changes to the procurement documentation and promptly display it on the official website,” explained the head of the department.

Also, the identified violations concerned accounting, timeliness of registration of procedures for the provision of subsidies and other areas.

As Dodonov reported, this year, based on the results of audits by the Accounts Chamber, 14.4 million rubles will be returned to the republic’s budget.
