The action «White Flower» took place in Yalta
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The traditional charity event «White Flower» took place on Sunday, the Day of the Myrrh-bearing Women, near the Livadia Palace Museum. The event is organized by the community of the Exaltation of the Cross Palace Church of the Romanov family in Livadia and the Livadia Palace Museum.
Incredible atmosphere of kindness and mercy! Action «White Flower» on the cozy alleys near the Livadia Palace. Tradition for over a hundred years. As then, a modest chamomile works wonders — a flower made by children’s hands is not only a symbol, but also an instrument of goodness: the proceeds from its sale go to charity. With great pleasure I collected a white “bouquet”, bought pastries, handmade toys and books, and even measured my blood pressure – this service was offered by students of the Yalta Medical College. I thank everyone who took part in this wonderful action — organizers and participants, philanthropists and patrons. Those who did not stay away from good deeds— stressed the head of the administration of Yalta, Yanina Pavlenko, visiting the action.
The head of the municipality — the chairman of the Yalta city council Konstantin Shimanovsky also welcomed the participants of the action.
I thank the organizers of the event — the community of the Exaltation of the Cross Palace Church and the Livadia Palace Museum — for the revival of the best traditions of charity, laid down by the Romanov imperial family. By showing our best spiritual qualities — kindness, mercy, compassion, we can make our world a little better and help those people who need it. Special thanks to kindergartens, schools and all residents of the city who take part in the White Flower»— said Konstantin Shimanovsky.
The fair-sale exhibited handmade products, which were provided by students of Yalta schools and pupils of out-of-school institutions, parishioners of the churches of the region, the Central Library System and residents of Yalta. Everyone could buy here handicrafts, arts and crafts, jewelry, pastries, children’s crafts, books and, according to the established tradition, white flowers — live, paper, lace, silk and even felt. The collected funds will be directed to charitable assistance to people in difficult life situations.
