In January-September of this year, three entities with signs of an illegal lender and one that illegally attracted investments from citizens were discovered in the region. The information was transferred to law enforcement agencies.
Organizations supervised by the Bank of Russia, their official intermediaries and legal issuers have the right to publicly attract investments from individuals. These could be, for example, banks, consumer cooperatives, property managers, construction or leasing companies, and brokers. A prerequisite for attracting funds from citizens as investments must be that the organization has its own securities (with official information about this on the company’s website), which will be purchased by a private investor.
If this condition is not met, organizations posting investment offers offline and on the Internet are acting illegally. Administrative liability is provided for this: a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles for citizens, up to 100 thousand for officials and up to 1 million rubles for legal entities. In some cases, the company’s activities may be suspended for up to 90 days. If you are offered to invest in a promising or “future” business, but it is impossible to verify the reality of the project: there is only promising advertising and information on anonymous sites, then you should definitely check such a company in the list of legal participants in the financial market so as not to lose moneynotes the acting Manager of the Sevastopol Branch of the Southern Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia Vitaly Sidorenko.
