The Department of Neurosurgery of the Simferopol Clinical Hospital SMP No. 6 was retrofitted with a C-arm X-ray machine

In the department of neurosurgery of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Simferopol Clinical Emergency Hospital No. 6», a new C-arm X-ray machine was purchased and put into operation for carrying out high-tech interventions for injuries and diseases of the spine. Equipment worth 16 million rubles was purchased from the budget of the Republic of Crimea.

The C-arm is a mobile X-ray machine that is used to visualize the internal structures of the body during surgery. Thanks to the new equipment, doctors at the neurosurgery department will be able to increase the number of operations performed by approximately 30-40% in the future. We are talking about high-tech interventions in patients with spinal cord injuries, degenerative-dystrophic (osteochondrosis, protrusion, hernia, etc.) and oncological diseases of the spine. The specialists of the department have the largest range of operations in Crimea for these injuries and pathologies, — noted in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.

Not only Crimeans, but also residents of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions receive treatment in the department.
