Employees of the Department for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, in cooperation with colleagues from the 16th department of the Main Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, detained a 29-year-old resident of the Simferopol region on suspicion of a drug crime. During a personal search, two cardboard boxes were found in his bag, in which there was mephedrone with a total weight of about 1.5 kg, which was confirmed by the examination. As investigators established, the man ordered a batch of drug powder from Moscow via the Internet, after which he received a package in the mail. In the future, he was going to sell the criminal goods through hiding places in Simferopol and other regions of the Republic, but did not have time.
A criminal case was initiated against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was sentenced to a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 2 months— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
