The main goal of the project is to create comfortable conditions for birds living in the city and surrounding areas. A special feature of the project was the participation of the Yalta Society of the Blind, whose specialists made bird houses from moisture-resistant and environmentally friendly plywood. At the final stage, volunteers coat the structures with a special eco-varnish, which provides protection from external influences and is safe for the environment.
The first birdhouses are already ready. It is planned that by World Bird Day, celebrated on April 1, residents and visitors of the city will see new houses in key green areas. The houses will appear in Massandra, Pionersky and Primorsky parks, in the City Garden, on the Embankment, as well as in the villages of Gaspra, Simeiz and Foros. In total, it is planned to place more than 30 birdhouses within the starting stage. If the experiment is successful and if the houses are inhabited by birds, the project will continue.
