The “Give Books with Love” campaign was launched in Sevastopol

The Central City Children’s Library named after A.P. Gaidar launched the all-Russian campaign “Give Books with Love,” timed to coincide with International Book Giving Day, which is celebrated annually on February 14.

This year the event is an anniversary — it is taking place for the tenth time, from February 9 to 15. Its main idea is to inspire people to give each other good books and remind them that a paper book remains a relevant gift and does not lose its value.

The Centralized Library System for Children has been the curator of the all-Russian campaign in the region since 2019. Over seven years, more than 2,880 people donated more than 9,447 new, interesting, colorful books to children’s libraries in Sevastopol,” noted the director of the Centralized Library System for Children, Honored Worker of Culture of the city, Elena Panchenko.

The Department of Culture invites you to join the tenth all-Russian campaign “Give Books with Love” and donate new publications for young readers.
