The “Golden Ring of the Bosporan Kingdom” tourist route is planned to be given national status
The regions participating in the project “Golden Ring of the Bosporan Kingdom” are working to prepare application documentation to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation to assign the project the status of a national tourist route. At the moment, the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory and Sevastopol are launching a joint tourism project — a seven-day route “The Golden Ring of the Bosporan Kingdom”, which will unite unique monuments of the ancient, Greco-Roman and Byzantine periods associated with the history of the ancient state on the territory of modern Russia.
As noted by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, Yuri Gotsanyuk, organizational work is already being completed: tour operators have been identified, details are being agreed upon with municipalities. At the same time, the infrastructure is being updated: access roads to the display sites are being repaired, navigation signs are being installed, and parking and recreation areas are being developed.
According to the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy, the status of a national route will allow the project to develop tourism infrastructure, attract additional investment and the attention of tourists.
The project deserves greater popularity, taking into account those ancient monuments of civilization that are located, in particular, in the Crimea — Chersonese, Panticapaeum and many other ancient objects preserved in the territory of our regions. We expect that the status of a national route will give us the opportunity, together with business, to attract the attention of travelers interested in antiquity, not only from Russia, but from all over the world, — the minister noted.
The route passes through the Crimean cities: Kerch, Feodosia, Sudak, Yevpatoria, Simferopol and Yalta. Tourists will be able to touch the heritage of ancient civilizations in a week, see authentic archaeological finds and world-class museum collections.
