The Golitsyn Trail in the New World still remains closed after the collapse in the grotto. Tourists are asked not to ignore warning signs and not to walk on the temporary wooden bridge. Collapse in the grotto on the Golitsyn trail occurred in October last year due to heavy rainfall. It is dangerous to cross the destroyed section of the trail; restoration work is underway there.
At the moment, the passage through Golitsyn’s grotto is closed. According to the Ministry of Ecology of Crimea, an examination has already been carried out, an examination has been carried out, but restoration work is promised to be completed no earlier than July, — Bolshov said.
He said there are now warning signs at the trailhead saying the trail is temporarily closed. But this does not stop vacationers; they walk across a temporary wooden bridge installed here, which can be unsafe. Tourists are asked not to ignore warning signs or compromise their own safety.
In April, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Crimea — Deputy Chief State Inspector of the Republic Alexander Bereznev reportedthat the passage through the grotto on the Golitsyn trail in the New World will not be opened until mid-summer. The funds and contractor for the work have already been found.
