The head of the Crimean regional branch of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders was awarded the medal of Saints Boris and Gleb, III degree, by the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church.

During the St. George Parade in Moscow, the head of the Crimean regional branch of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders, Andrei Vitalievich Polishchuk, was awarded the medal of the Holy Blessed Passion-Bearing Princes Boris and Gleb, III degree, for his work in developing youth ministry. The award was presented by the head of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, acting. O. Chairman of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders, Hieromonk Filaret (Zubov).

The awarding is timed to coincide with the day of remembrance of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious and the all-Russian event “St. George Parade — Children of the Winners,” which took place on May 6 on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow. The Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders is reaching a new level today. More than 4,000 children and teenagers are part of units throughout Russia — from the Far East to the Crimea, from the Lugansk region to the Pskov diocese. This is teamwork. Three hundred instructors and mentors organize activities in their units on a daily basis and develop new units, thanks to which the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders grows with new members every month.

The Crimean regional branch of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders consists of 40 detachments, 700 children and teenagers.
