The headquarters of the LDPR of Crimea proposed new measures to combat drug addiction
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The system of combating drug addiction in Russia requires a radical revision. At an extended round table at the headquarters of the Crimean branch of the LDPR, experts, deputies and social activists supported the initiatives of party chairman Leonid Slutsky. The main speaker, the head of the Foundation for a Sober Crimea, Yuri Platitsyn, presented shocking data: every fourth student in Crimea has tried drugs, and you can order substances faster than taking food home.
An extended round table “The fight against drug addiction: new challenges and effective solutions” was held at the headquarters of the Crimean regional branch of the LDPR, which brought together leading experts in the field of combating drug addiction. The event was a response to initiatives voiced by party chairman Leonid Slutsky, who identified the fight against the drug threat as a national security priority.
The discussion was attended by deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea and the Simferopol City Council, representatives of public organizations, including the chairman of the Council of Young Leaders under the Simferopol Administration, activists of the LDPR youth organization, as well as representatives of the NGO “Pereprava”.

The key speaker was the director of the Foundation “For a Sober Crimea” Yuri Platitsyn, who shared shocking data from his practice:
When we come to educational institutions to carry out prevention, we see the real picture. About 25% of students use psychoactive substances. And these are not assumptions — these are data that we receive through direct dialogue with young people.
The expert is particularly concerned about the rapid digitalization of the drug business:
Today, it is not difficult for a teenager or an adult to purchase drugs. It has become more affordable than ordering food at home.
Platitsyn described in detail the structure of modern drug trafficking, where entire “castes” of criminals operate. The so-called “seagulls” specialize in searching for and stealing bookmarks, and “collection offices” staffed by athletes “punish” those who try to defraud drug stores.
The Foundation for a Sober Crimea presented the impressive results of its many years of work. The organization managed to process more than six hundred requests for help, refer over one hundred and fifty people for rehabilitation, and help dozens of people with employment and education. The foundation has carried out dozens of anti-drug raids and removed thousands of signs advertising prohibited substances.
In the field of prevention, the achievements are especially significant: the foundation conducted more than eighty preventive classes in educational institutions, reaching an audience of over four thousand students. Seminars are regularly organized for relatives of addicts, and the projects “Say No to Drugs” and “It’s Fashionable to Be Sober” are successfully implemented.
We use an integrated approach — we work in four areas: biological, psychological, social and spiritual. Our rehabilitation program includes work with the best specialists and shows high efficiencyb,” Platitsyn noted.
The foundation has achieved particular success in sports prevention. With the support of the Crimean Football Union and the Ministry of Sports, football tournaments are regularly held, which attract more than a thousand participants.
Through sports we can convey the right values to young people. Our tournaments under the slogan “It’s fashionable to be sober” really change the consciousness of young people— emphasized the head of the fund.
The round table participants unanimously supported the LDPR’s initiatives to conduct a comprehensive audit of the system of combating drug trafficking, introduce artificial intelligence to block online distribution, create a network of state rehabilitation centers and toughen punishment for drug trafficking organizers.
The problem requires a systematic approach and consolidation of efforts by authorities, law enforcement agencies and society. This is the only way we can protect the future of our children.“, concluded Yuri Platitsyn.
