A stage that will rise and fall at different levels, elevators and seats for the handicapped, white marble hall and crystal chandeliers — this is how the Crimean State Center for Children’s Theater Arts will appear before young spectators and their parents by January next year. People call a long construction project a puppet theater in the old fashioned way.
The laying of all communications in the building has already been completed, First Deputy Minister of Construction of Crimea Alexander Reznikov assured journalists.
The only technological connections we have left are communication networks, we connect the Internet — and that’s all. In general, all engineering at the site is almost completed in full, — said the deputy minister.
According to him, the overall construction readiness of the facility is about 83%, and the facade work is 60% completed.
According to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, we envisage commissioning in December of this year. We plan to complete all major construction and installation work in September-October in full, so that permission for commissioning will be received in Novembersaid Reznikov.
According to him, all the theater equipment provided for in the plan is already in warehouses, the center will use equipment made in Russia and China, and the list of all necessary equipment is now being finalized.
We will put this facility into operation this year, we have no doubt about it. The customer, the Ministry of Construction, the contractor — all participants in the construction process, all resource supply organizations — are making every effort to achieve this,” the Deputy Minister emphasized once again.
He also noted that at the same time, the city authorities are improving the area adjacent to the children’s center.
It was previously reported that the project of the children’s theater center has not changed since its creation in 2017. The theater has grown up six floors, one of which is underground, where parking is provided.
Along the façade of the building there will be figures of Atlanteans, muses and caryatids. Inside there are two stages with rotating mechanisms and light bars, and the most modern acoustics. On the ground floor there will be a spacious foyer and a ticket office, and above there will be two buffets: with 40 seats for spectators and a slightly smaller one for staff. Also on the upper floors there will be administrative, technical, warehouse premises, workshops and rehearsal rooms. The theater building itself is designed to accommodate 78 employees and will be able to additionally accommodate a touring troupe of 18 people. In addition, there are areas where children’s development and creativity studios are organized.
