The opening of the project «Wall of Memory» took place in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The opening of the «Wall of Memory» project took place in Simferopol. A wall with portraits of participants in the Great Patriotic War appeared in the Resource Center for Volunteering Support of the Republic of Crimea. The «Wall of Memory» project is the creation of a memorable memorial exposition, with photographs of participants in the Great Patriotic War, brief information and events about them.
This year the Immortal Regiment is held in different formats. Victory Volunteers took the initiative to organize Walls of Memory throughout Russia. Such a Wall appeared in our Volunteering Resource Center. Together with volunteers and employees of the Youth House, they joined the action. Personally, I shared a portrait of my great-grandfather. It is important that as many people as possible see the faces of the winners in the Great Patriotic War. Anyone can become a participant in the action and share the history of their family. The doors of the Resource Center are always open— shared the chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea Alexei Zinchenko.
Each young person can perpetuate the memory of his ancestor by attaching his portrait to a stand at the Resource Center for Volunteer Support of the Republic of Crimea.
Another «Wall of Memory» will open in Evpatoria. After Victory Day, all collected photographs will be transferred to the All-Russian historical depository «Faces of Victory», which creates the Museum of Victory, or used to compile permanent art objects dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
