The fleet of cars of the Grand Service Express company, the only railway carrier to the Crimean Peninsula, will be renewed in 2026. 78 cars will be purchased. The general director of the company, Alexander Ganov, told TASS.
Our fleet at the beginning of the season is about 740 cars. This year we plan to buy 78, almost half of them will be made in Belarus. We have already received almost half of the cars; they will be part of our trains by the beginning of the holiday seasonhe said.
The total fleet now amounts to more than 900 cars, as the company rents additional rolling stock for the summer during the busiest period.
The transport company «Grand Service Express» is the only railway carrier to Crimea since 2019. In 2025, the company transported almost 6 million passengers, passenger traffic on Tavria trains increased by 3% compared to 2024. The first Tavria passenger trains began running from St. Petersburg and Moscow to the peninsula in December 2019.
