The regional stage of the championship movement “Professionals” was launched in Sevastopol

From February 13 to 20, events of the regional stage of the All-Russian championship movement in professional skills “Professionals” are taking place in Sevastopol. 190 people take part in the competition: 159 students of secondary vocational education and 31 schoolchildren.

Professional skills championships play an important role in the training of qualified specialists. They help young people grow in their profession, motivate students to set high goals and confidently achieve them. The “Professionals” Championship is an opportunity to demonstrate your skills, gain new experience and find like-minded people,” noted Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science Alexandra Nikitina.

In the main category (students), there are competitions in 26 competencies, including: restaurant service, finance, web technologies, artistic wood painting, interior design, handicraft ceramics, makeup and stylist, documentation management and archiving, medical and social care, paramedical work in medical rehabilitation, cooking and confectionery.

In the “Juniors” (schoolchildren) category, competitions will be held in five competencies: repair and maintenance of cars, preschool education, teaching in lower grades, organizing excursion services and tourism.

Participation in championships of professional excellence is self-expression in the profession, an opportunity to show oneself. Competition tasks meet high industry standards and differ significantly from the training programs. Employers observe the preparation and performance of the contestants, which contributes to further employment and internships,” said Ilona Smolyakova, director of the Sevastopol College of Service and Trade.

About 200 expert mentors and industrial experts will evaluate the participants’ work.

The partners of the regional stage are 62 organizations, including 37 organizations planning to provide vacancies or internships for winners and runners-up. Enterprises that are partners of the movement participate in the development of competition tasks and are members of the jury.

The winners of the regional stage will take part in qualifying competitions, which will be held in March — April 2026, for the right to reach the finals of the championship. In addition, as part of the regional stage, a career guidance program will be implemented, in which about 1,400 schoolchildren will take part.

Let us remind you that the All-Russian championship movement in professional skills “Professionals” is aimed at supporting talented youth, strengthening human resources and ensuring the technological development of the country. The competition is held within the framework of the federal project “Professionalism” of the national project “Youth and Children”.
