The results of the VI Forum of Russian Language and Culture were summed up in Sevastopol
The VI Forum of Russian Language and Culture was held at the Cultural Center “Kazachya Bay”, in which Sevastopol schoolchildren took part. The children got acquainted with historical books, enjoyed performances by creative national groups and took part in a theatrical performance.
Various master classes were also held as part of the forum. Young Sevastopol residents learned to create and paint traditional Russian souvenirs, such as folk dolls, gingerbread cookies and nesting dolls. Here, the event participants plunged into the world of national handicrafts and antiquities at exhibitions of the Russian, Mordovian, German and Chuvash societies.
We convey to young people the basics of the traditions and customs of the Russian people and the peoples of Russia through a language they understand. For kids this is the language of master classes, for middle age — the language of theatrical performances, and for the older expert community — a scientific and practical conference,” noted Vladimir Kolesnikov, head of the department for work with national and religious organizations of the department of internal policy of the Government of Sevastopol.
The Forum of Russian Language and Culture lasted four days. In the first days, meetings were held with linguists, historians and library staff, as well as literary and theatrical programs in honor of domestic cultural experts, writers and musicians. The interactive concert program ended with a cheerful Russian round dance.
The forum, dedicated to the preservation of the Russian language and culture, has been taking place in Sevastopol for the sixth year and is aimed at forming civil identity and unity of the peoples of Russia. The event is organized by the Department of Internal Policy with the support of the Federal Agency for National Affairs.
