The season of watermelons and melons started in Sevastopol

Sales of watermelons and melons started in Sevastopol. It is important to remember that it should be purchased exclusively in places of authorized trade to make sure of its safety and quality. The Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market organized work on the placement of fair platforms, where only proven and certified melting products are sold. Currently, about 30 fair dots are functioning in the city, indicated by bright red tents with the inscription «Bakhchevoy collapse».
Each of these sites presents permits, veterinary and sanitary conclusions for products. The main volume of melons presented with us is grown in the Crimea and the Kherson region. For each batch, the conclusion of the State Sanitary Service of the city on the conformity of food products is issued by the requirements of sanitary norms and rules for the maintenance of nitrates and radiology,-quoted the press service of the head of the consumer market of the Department of Ksenia Kazanjiev.

This season, the usual and popular varieties of watermelons are already represented in Sevastopol: Karistan, Sarmat, Kasio and others. According to the department, manufacturers demonstrate good quality products and expand the assortment at the expense of new regions-suppliers.
The cost of melons depends on the variety, weight and place of implementation. On average, prices range from 40 to 75 rubles per kilogram.
Recall that the purchase of watermelons and melons from roads, in parking lots and other unauthorized places are associated with a serious risk to health. The products offered there do not pass the mandatory veterinary control, does not have security documents, is often stored and transported in improper conditions and may contain an increased number of nitrates.
