In the institutions of the water management industry of the Republic, the annual campaign «Crimea — a region of environmental safety and cleanliness» was launched. The first subbotniks for sanitary cleaning of coastal protective strips of water bodies within the boundaries of the territories assigned to the jurisdiction of the State Committee for Water Management and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Crimea were held in the Sovetsky, Pervomaisky and Saki branches of the State Budgetary Institution «Krymmeliovodkhoz».
Employees of the Pervomaisky branch in the course of cleaning up the channel and the adjacent territory of the Rch-3 inter-farm canal cleared 3.2 km of the coastal strip from natural rubbish and household waste. Employees of the Saki branch, with the active participation of eco-volunteers, eliminated a spontaneous dump on the Saki Canal. Collected and removed 5 cubic meters of garbage. The participants of the subbotnik cleaned the dam of the North Crimean Canal from overgrowth of trees and reeds at the entrance to the village. Soviet. In the course of the Campaign, trees were cut down with the use of small-scale mechanization, as well as with the help of a universal energy tool with a mulching cutter. The volume of collected and removed garbage amounted to 50 cubic meters. As part of the annual environmental campaign «Crimea — a region of environmental safety and cleanliness» in March, environmental subbotniks will be held in the sanitary zones of the Simferopol, Belogorsk, Station reservoirs, as well as on the Salgir River in the Krasnogvardeisky district.
