The State Duma proposes to ban the purchase of housing for cash
CrimeaPRESS reports:
If such a law is adopted, then buying a home for cash will essentially be prohibited. This is not the first time such a proposal has been made. At the beginning of October, Yuri Avanesov, leading lawyer of the EJSC, spoke about this initiative to the Prime agency. According to him, this issue is still under discussion, but the market is preparing for possible changes. The lawyer is confident that non-cash payments will help increase the transparency of housing transactions. This will eliminate the possibility of passing counterfeit banknotes. In addition, recording the settlement between the parties to the transaction will allow the provision of evidence in the event of a violation of the rights of the participants.
Avanesov considers it highly likely that the law will be adopted.
