The Pension Fund and the Ministry of Digital Development have launched a service on the public services portal that allows Sevastopol mothers to apply for a monthly maternity allowance. The right to such a payment is for women whom the Sevastopol Employment Center recognized as unemployed within a year from the date of dismissal.
As noted by Larisa Mironova, deputy head of the department for establishing pensions and social payments of the Sevastopol branch of the PFR, the dismissal itself should be associated with the liquidation of the enterprise or the termination of activities as an individual entrepreneur, notary or lawyer.
In order to apply for an allowance, you need to go to the “Gosuslugi”, select the service “Maternity Benefit for Displaced Women” and confirm your personal data. Then all that remains is to choose the method of receiving the payment and send an electronic application.
According to the expert, in most cases this will be enough to apply for benefits. However, sometimes additional information may be needed. For example, a birth certificate of a child, if it is issued outside the Russian Federation, or a court decision on adoption, which is issued only to adoptive parents. In such cases, a notification will be sent to the mother’s personal account indicating what information should be provided to the client service of the Pension Fund.
The decision to assign benefits is made within 10 working days from the date of application and receipt by the Pension Fund of the necessary information from organizations and documents of the applicant. If the payment is denied, a notice of this is sent within 3 business days. Funds are paid out within 5 working days after the decision on the purpose of the payment is made.
According to Larisa Mironova, you can apply for benefits no later than 6 months from the end of maternity leave. In case of a positive decision on the application, the allowance is transferred to the card or through the post office — depending on which method was indicated during registration.
