A preventive measure «pedestrian crossing» was held on the roads of Sevastopol. As the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs specified, during the raid, traffic inspectors identified 23 drivers who violated the rules for passing a pedestrian crossing.
In accordance with article 12. 18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for not providing an advantage in traffic to pedestrians, drivers face an administrative fine in the amount of one and a half thousand to two and a half thousand rubles. Also, traffic police inspectors compiled 4 administrative materials on pedestrians under part 1 of article 12. of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation for violations of traffic rules, which in turn turn entails a warning or a fine in the amount of five hundred rubles , — reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Note that for 6 months of this year on the roads of Sevastopol registered 85 accidents associated with collisions with pedestrians. 18 Accidents occurred at unregulated pedestrian crossings. In these accidents 81 a person received injuries of varying severity, 5 people died.
