The University of Sevastopol and the Yalta Medical Center FMBA plan to create a Department of Emergency Medicine
Sevastopol State University and the Yalta Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia plan to create a basic department of emergency medicine and conduct scientific research to develop new high-tech treatment methods, the general director of the medical center Olga Eremina told reporters.
I am confident that our cooperation with a leading university [Севастополя] will contribute to both the development of high-quality student training and the development of scientific research. <…> We are one of the leading clinics [Крыма]which works in the field of high technology. Interaction is very important to us from the point of view of the development of science, because the scientists who work in our clinic need interaction and discussion. We also see very great prospects for development in the basic department, because our clinic works wonderfully in the field of emergency medicine, we have real experience in this areasaid Eremina.
The corresponding cooperation agreement between Northern State University and the FMBA institution was signed on April 2, a TASS correspondent reports.
The press service of Northern State University clarified that the document implies scientific, educational and innovative cooperation, including the creation of a basic department of “Emergency Medicine” on the basis of the medical center. It is planned to train students studying in the areas of “Nursing” and “General Medicine” at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Health Preservation of SevSU.
We associate with this agreement the prospect of improving the quality of training of our doctors, their training at the very cutting edge of medical science. The Yalta Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia is a huge opportunity precisely to give our students a fundamental component of training, to ensure their participation in the development of new techniques and in testing the most modern approaches to treatment, — noted Rector Vladimir Nechaev.
He recalled that in Russian medicine much attention is paid to the development of new technologies, and at the specialized institute of SevSU, in addition to the training areas “General Medicine” and “Nursing,” such as “Medical Biophysics” and “Medical Cybernetics” have been opened.
