The Water Sports Palace in Simferopol is ready for commissioning. This was reported by the press service of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea. Thus, the head of the parliamentary committee on tourism, resorts and sports, Oksana Sergienko, held a meeting to prepare for the opening of the Palace, which will soon open its doors in the Crimean capital.

Internal work has been completed, the pools have been filled, equipment is being installed, an autonomous boiler room is operating, and the surrounding area is being actively landscaped. The process of obtaining regulatory permits is currently underway. At the same time, the issue of transport accessibility and arrangement of bus stop pavilions remains open.— the parliamentary press service reports.

According to the Department of Transport and Communications of the Simferopol City Administration, a separate public transport route is being prepared for launch, which will follow to the Palace of Water Sports. According to Oksana Sergienko, a public transport stop should be as close as possible to the main entrance to the Palace.

The deputy also stressed the need to fulfill all the established requirements and measures for anti-terrorist security, since the main visitors to the palace will be children — young athletes, swimmers.

The facility was built at the expense of the federal target program, its cost is 1 billion 32 million rubles. The total area of ​​the two-storey Water Sports Palace is 18.7 thousand square meters. meters. The Palace will host training in sports swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo. The main object is a fifty-meter swimming pool (Olympic size) with 10 lanes, the only one in the Crimea of ​​this level. In addition, two more swimming pools are equipped here — a sports and recreation pool with paths (25 meters) and a children’s pool.
