The weather in Crimea in the first week of March will be capricious

At the beginning of spring in Crimea, stable weather conditions are unlikely, but the first portion of the long-awaited spring warmth will hit the peninsula at the beginning of next week. About this on the radio «Sputnik in Crimea» said leading specialist of the FOBOS Weather Center Evgeniy Tishkovets.

In Russia, in most regions, March, of course, is still a “winter” month, the so-called meteorological winter. In Moscow it is usually until March 20. But this does not apply to Crimea and southern Russia in general. But even here March is always unstable. And what we expect at the beginning of next week is such a trial cartoon, a trial pen of springnoted the expert.

According to the meteorologist’s forecast, on Monday there will be a lot of sun, there will be no precipitation, the nighttime air temperature will remain around zero and there is less and less chance of frost.

Practically there will be no more frosts (frosts — ed.). On the coast of the peninsula it will already be up to +5 degrees. This will be the warmest day in the coming week, when even in Simferopol the thermometers will go beyond +10…+12 degrees. And on the Crimean peninsula it is expected from +8 to +13, in some places even up to +15 degrees, just real spring warmththe specialist predicts.

And then, according to the meteorologist, the situation will begin to “break down” — the influence of a cyclonic vortex of North Atlantic origin will affect.

Already on Tuesday, its cold frontal system will reach the south of our country, the sky will frown, there will be short precipitation, first in the form of rain, and then it will turn into snow, and the temperature will begin to drop rapidly. On Tuesday day and night +1…+6, in the evening the thermometer will be close to zero. The winds will turn to the north and will be dense, up to 15 meters per secondthe specialist warns.

On Wednesday, he said, it will become even colder.

Again we return to frosts of 0…-3 degrees at night. In the daytime — slight plus, 0…+3, partly cloudy, light snow in places, mainly at night and in the morning. Well, during the day and in the evening the influence of the anticyclone will already be felt, so the weather will begin to gradually improvethe meteorologist predicts.

On Thursday, Tishkovets added, it was also about zero, sunny, no precipitation and up to +7 degrees during the day. By the weekend the situation will begin to improve — the air temperature is expected to be around zero at night, and in the daytime the thermometers will rise to +5…+10, that is, a return to the climatic norm is again expected.

Assessing the synoptic situation for the coming March, the leading FOBOS specialist said that the temperature of the month is expected to be around the climate norm, possibly with a slight lag of 1 degree and a slight shortage of precipitation of 10%.

But, I assure you, powerful warming awaits us in April. April will be warmer everywhere than normal, FOBOS expert predicts.
