The Yalta Public Council announced the results of its work for 10 months

35 years ago, the current secretary of the Public Council, Natalya Viktorovna Kasatkina, and I personally took part in organizing and holding a landmark referendum for Crimea. In 1991, the situation was difficult. Yalta was literally seething, but we survived, we won. And this was a victory for the entire Crimean people. A victory repeated in 2014“,” said the Chairman of the Public Council, Lyudmila Kovaleva, opening the meeting.

There is no doubt that Crimea and Yalta will continue to develop rapidly. I thank the entire composition of the Public Council and especially Lyudmila Fedorovna for her active civic and life position, participation in the public life of her native city, support and friendship“, — in turn, noted the Chairman of the Yalta City Council Konstantin Shimanovsky.

On behalf of the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Petrovna Pavlenko, and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate everyone on the Day of the Republic of Crimea. And of course, I want to thank the Public Council for your help, for instructing, suggesting, with our common team we are doing one common big thing, so that our city prospers, so that we live comfortably,” added Deputy Head of the Yalta Administration Renard Kutkovsky.

After the welcoming words, members of the Public Council, their assistants, as well as managers and employees of structural divisions of the Yalta administration and the Yalta City Council were awarded Certificates of Honor and Letters of Gratitude.

During the 10 months of work of the current composition of the Public Council, 11 meetings of the Public Council were held, at which issues of education, culture, sports, public transport, health care and volunteering were discussed. Members of the Public Council took an active part in all city events, cleanup days and planting of green spaces. In its work, the Public Council was guided by the Decree of the Head of the Republic of Crimea and the Regulations approved at the session of the Yalta City Council. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of measures under the Law “On Public Control”, which contributed to the successful implementation of city programs in 14 areas within the framework of national projects for 2025.

Among the main tasks for 2026 are ensuring public control over the implementation of national projects and city programs, strengthening information work with the population, supporting socially vulnerable groups and volunteer initiatives, assisting in the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of the resort.
