Theft in the sorting complex of the Simferopol district — two smartphones ultimately did not reach their customers
According to information received by the duty station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol region, mobile phones were stolen from the sorting complex, which never reached those who were waiting for their long-awaited parcels.
As a result of operational search activities, police officers identified and detained a 33-year-old local resident working in this organization. According to the investigation, the attacker, taking advantage of his official position and access to goods, stole two smartphones during the night shift. He took out one of the phones, hiding it among the garbage, and the second — under his clothes. Later, these devices were sold to him for 16 thousand rubles, which the man managed to spend on his own needs— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Simferopol region opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). A preventive measure was chosen against the suspect in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
