There are 80 families of guardians and trustees in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts hosted a solemn event “There are no other people’s children,” at which the families of guardians and trustees were honored.

The event “There are no other people’s children” is traditional for Sevastopol. It was held annually until 2014 and was dedicated to Adoptive Parent Day. Specialists of the guardianship and trusteeship authorities of Sevastopol have preserved this good tradition.

The city is home to 80 families in which children have found a home and confidence in the future.

It is especially important for us to see happy children at our festive event. In Sevastopol, 910 children live in families of guardians and trustees. All this became possible thanks to sensitive, kind and open people who love children and are not afraid to take responsibility and give love. I thank our beautiful families from the bottom of my heart. Every child who goes through our guardianship and trusteeship department is our own, and every child placed in a family is a holiday. Our main task is to ensure the right of every child to live in a family— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science, Head of the Department for the Protection of the Rights of Minors, Guardianship and Trusteeship Anna Machulina.

Supporting family, motherhood and childhood is one of the most important government tasks. In Sevastopol, a lot of work is being done to place children in families and to prevent social orphanhood.
