There is a price memorandum in Sevastopol: the “borscht set” has not risen in price
Individual fluctuations were recorded in the prices of chicken eggs, apples, as well as fresh cucumbers and tomatoes due to fluctuations in the volume of greenhouse harvests.
The price memorandum, in force in Sevastopol since 2020, ensures stability of prices for basic food products, especially during seasonal market fluctuations.
The document establishes a “zero” or minimum trade margin (from 0 to 15%) to the manufacturer’s selling price for an approved list of essential goods. To date, 122 retail outlets in the city have joined the agreement. For the convenience of buyers, all products sold under the memorandum are marked with light blue price tags with the inscription “Memorandum”. A complete list of goods and terms of the agreement are posted at each retail outlet in the “Consumer Corner” area.
In addition, Sevastopol residents actively take advantage of the opportunity to control the quality of purchased goods. Using the Honest Sign mobile application, buyers quickly check the authenticity of products, their origin and expiration date, which minimizes the risks of purchasing counterfeit or expired goods and strengthens the consumer rights protection system.
