They say it’s not time: the introduction of a rental housing accounting system has been postponed

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The issue of withdrawing the rental housing market from the shadows has so far been removed from the agenda, said TASS Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Nikita Stasishin at SPIEF. Earlier, the Ministry of Construction began to prepare a draft law on the creation of a state information system that will allow controlling operations in the rental market. This is expected to increase the transparency of the rental housing market.

The department said that in the current economic conditions, the decision on this issue will have to be postponed. The introduction of a rental housing accounting system would increase the tax burden on citizens, Stasishyn explained. He said that the degree of readiness of the platform is currently high, but now is not the right time to introduce additional taxes. It was decided to temporarily remove this issue from the agenda , TASS journalists say.
