They want to reduce the number of accidents on Crimean highways by improving road lighting
Thus, the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Krymavtodor” began work in April 2025. To date, a number of projects have been completed and are being implemented, including:
- Highway Simferopol — Krasnoperekopsk — border with the Kherson region (within the city of Krasnoperekopsk). Lighting has been fully installed over a stretch of approximately 5 km. The cost of the work amounted to 41 million rubles;
- Highway Simferopol — Ivanovka (within the settlements of Ivanovka, Denisovka, Strogonovka). The degree of readiness of the facility is 100%, the cost is 82.6 million rubles, and the total length of the illuminated sections is more than 8.6 km.
In addition, according to Sergei Aksenov, work is being carried out on the Eastern and Western bypasses of Simferopol.
On the Eastern Bypass, work is being carried out in three stages under three contracts. The total amount of funding is about 81 million rubles, the readiness of the facilities is 90%, the length of the illuminated sections is 4.2 km. It is planned to connect the lighting in stages until December 15. Work on the Western Bypass has already been completed: 3.2 km are illuminated– shared the Head of the Republic.
Sergey Aksyonov noted that for 2026 it is planned to continue the construction of outdoor lighting systems within the settlements of Ishun, Orlovka, Orlovskoye, Vorontsovka, Krasny Mak and others.
Project documentation is currently being developed. Financing will be provided from the republican budget. Ensuring road safety and developing road infrastructure is an important priority of government policy at all levels. Work in this direction will continueconcluded the Head of Crimea.
