A message about a fire in an apartment on Marshal Gelovani Street was received by the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry in Sevastopol at 8:17 a.m.
Fire and rescue units immediately arrived at the scene. It was established that the apartment on the 5th floor was on fire, things and furniture were engulfed in flames, there were no people inside. The guns were put out for fire extinguishing. At the same time, assistance was provided to residents from neighboring apartments: five, including two children, were rescued using respiratory protection devices, 31 people were evacuated. The fire was localized in 10 minutes. It was completely eliminated at 09:10. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established— the details of the incident were announced in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.
