Three Crimeans are accused of producing pornographic materials and extortion
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against three local residents. They were charged with using a minor for the purpose of producing pornographic materials and subsequent extortion under the threat of disseminating information disgracing the victim (clause «b» part 2 of article 242.2, clause «b» part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to investigators, the defendants installed a hidden video camera in an apartment on Kirov Street in the city of Yalta, where, after a meeting of their mutual friend with a minor, they made a video recording of intimate content. Under the threat of disseminating the video, the accused demanded 3 million rubles from an acquaintance. The criminal actions of the defendants were identified by operational officers of the regional departments of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The accomplices were detained at their places of residence, after which, at the request of the investigator, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the defendants,” the department’s press service reported.
A criminal case has also been initiated against a 31-year-old resident of Yalta, who became the object of blackmail, for committing indecent acts against a minor (Part 1 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
