Three projects of Sevastopol winemakers were awarded Platinum status in the Guide to Russian Wines

At the award ceremony of the “Time of Wine” project, which took place in February of this year in Moscow, Sevastopol producers received awards for the highest quality assessment — “Platinum” status in the “Russian Wine Guide” by Arthur Sarkisyan and RBC 2026.

“Guide to Russian Wines” by Arthur Sarkisyan is a unique author’s project that annually tells about the best wines of Russia.

The award, which in professional circles is already called the wine Oscar, is awarded to projects that score 92 points and above. 18 projects across the country received Platinum status, which is a third more than a year earlier.

Laureates of “Platinum” status from Sevastopol:

  • “Inkerman Factory of Vintage Wines” — for the white liqueur wine “Port Sevastopol” from the 1994 harvest, “Rose Crimean Muscat” from 2014, as well as for the still dry red wine “Bottle Aged Indzhi” from 2014;
  • Uppa Winery for Muscat Cler Polati 2024 and Riesling Oak. Chernaya River Valley 2024;
  • Le K2 winery — for Merlot 713 wine from the 2023 harvest.

Other participants in the region also received high awards.

The following wineries received gold in the competition: Zolotaya Balka, Oleg Repin, Domain Lipko, Yaiyla Winery, Uppa Winery, STN Winery, Loco Cimbali Winery, Le K2, Belbek.

The silver medalists were: “Winery 78”, “Perovskikh Estate”, “Rodnoe Gnezdo Estate”, AYA Organic Wine & Vineyards, Rem Akchurin, “Aleksandrovskaya Estate”, Belmas Winery, “Alexander Plotnikov Winery”, Tau-Sala and others.

According to the director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market Natalia Skoryukova, the success of Sevastopol winemakers is the result of systematic work to develop the city’s agro-industrial complex. Since 2014, 46 new farms have been created in the viticulture industry. The total area of planting vineyards during this period amounted to almost 3.5 thousand hectares, and the volume of harvested grapes reached 246 thousand tons.

In the period from 2014 to 2025, state support for the viticulture and winemaking industry amounted to 3.25 billion rubles.

Thanks to investments and the introduction of modern technologies, the production of wine and sparkling wines is also showing stable growth. Since 2016, total production has exceeded 252.5 million bottles. If in 2016 23 million bottles were produced per year, then by the end of 2025 this figure amounted to more than 31 million bottles.
