The Saki city police received a statement from the administrator of a guest house located in the private sector about the theft of a refrigerator from one of the rooms. The next day, a similar statement was received from a 22-year-old guest of the same guest house. He reported the theft of a music speaker, valued at 25 thousand rubles.
As a result of operational search activities, local police officers quickly identified and detained the suspect — a previously convicted 26-year-old resident of the village of Novofedorovka. It turned out that for the last two weeks she had been renting one of the rooms in the indicated house where the thefts had occurred.
The detainee admitted that she was helped by an acquaintance who, believing her story about the move, assisted in the removal of the stolen goods. According to her, the items were sold to one of the residents of the Saki district.
During a search at the indicated address, police found and seized both stolen items: a refrigerator and a music speaker. Stolen property returned to rightful owners— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The investigative department and the inquiry department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» initiated criminal cases based on crimes under Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The sanction of this article provides for a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison. A preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place was chosen against the suspect.
