The Sevastopol Rescue Service received a message that two girls were lost in the area of Bechku Mountain, they could not get out on their own, and they needed help. The duty shift of the search and rescue unit «South» immediately left for the scene.
Having arrived at the scene, rescuers began searching, however, according to the previously transmitted coordinates, the girls were not found. After some time, we managed to establish contact with them: they responded to the voice and signaled with a flashlight, which helped to more accurately determine their location.
As it turned out, the girls left the village of Peredovoe for an easy walk to admire the beautiful views, having previously looked at the route on the Internet. On the way back, instead of the already known road, they chose to descend along an unfamiliar path, which soon ended. By that time it was already dark, fog had descended, and the girls lost their bearings. They then called for help, making the right decision to stay put.
Rescuers escorted the girls to a safe place and handed them over to their parents. No medical attention was required — reported the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
The Sevastopol rescue service reminds you: study the route in advance and do not deviate from it. Plan your route taking into account daylight hours. Consider the weather conditions, inform your loved ones about your route and return time. Take a charged phone, a flashlight and some water with you.
The rescue service operates around the clock.
