Very hot! Class 4 fire hazard introduced on the territory of the Sevastopol region

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From July, the 4th class of fire hazard (high fire hazard) will be established on the territory of the Sevastopol region. In this regard, there is a possibility of incidents associated with the occurrence of forest fires and fires in open natural areas. An enhanced duty regime has been established in forestries, mobile groups of the Russian Emergencies Ministry patrol areas that are especially dangerous in terms of fire.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol reminds residents and guests of the Hero City of the need to comply with fire safety measures:

  • in no case do not throw burning matches and cigarettes in the forest area, green areas near forest plantations;
  • do not burn grass, do not make fires in the forest and near natural areas;
  • do not leave in the forest bottles and glass jars in sunlit glades;

In the fire zone:

  • if you find yourself in a fire zone, first soberly assess the situation — is it worth extinguishing it on your own or is it better to urgently go for help so as not to lose time and not let the fire spread;
  • if there is a pond or puddle nearby, dip into the water or at least moisten your clothes with water and breathe through a wet handkerchief;
  • crouching, run to the windward side and, if possible, parallel to the front of the fire.
