Vladimir Putin congratulated Russians on the New Year

Together we are one big family, strong and united. <…> We rely on our own strengths, on those who are nearby, who are near and dear to us, and we ourselves are always ready to lend a shoulder, — he said.

He also emphasized that the participants of the North Military District took upon themselves the responsibility to fight for the Motherland. And the whole country, he noted, believes in the fighters and in victory.

In addition, Putin wished the Russians happiness, health, mutual understanding and inspiring love.

Let our traditions, faith, memory unite all generations, support us always and with might and mainnoted the head of state.

The call lasted several minutes. The first to see it were the residents of Kamchatka and Chukotka, who had already celebrated the New Year. The time difference between them and Moscow is nine hours.
