At home, a 50-year-old resident of the Belogorsky district of Crimea, police officers found an “interesting seam.”

On the territory of a private household, in an outbuilding to the left of the entrance behind firewood, a glass 3-liter jar with a plant-derived substance that looks like a narcotic substance was found, and in another outbuilding, a polymer bag with parts of a similar plant was found. According to the expert’s conclusion, the substance is a narcotic drug — «cannabis», with a total weight of 148.2 grams— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

The suspect explained to the police that he kept drugs for personal consumption, without the purpose of sale. As you understand, such an “explanation” did not save from the initiation of a criminal case — under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs). Incidentally, the sanction article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to ten years. It would be better to «sunset» — compotes and pickles so carefully kept …
