Will electric cars and hybrids cross the Crimean Bridge in 2026?

Our common (resort and tourist) base has been formed, it is very good, we are growing. But this story with restrictions (travel on the Crimean Bridge — ed.) for cars with hybrid engines can seriously harm us if this clause is not cancelled. These issues are not within my competence, but I really hope that the security situation will allow this restriction to be liftedsaid Konstantinov.

Restrictions on the movement of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles for leaving the peninsula have been in effect since November 3, 2025, the corresponding decree was signed by the head of the republic Sergei Aksenov. Entry ban on electric vehicles and hybrid cars on the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side were introduced by decree of the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev.

The Crimean Bridge is a strategic object; those passing through the transport crossing are required to undergo an inspection procedure for security purposes. The bridge may be closed for security reasons — there is a yellow level of terrorist danger in Crimea.

Military personnel, employees of law enforcement agencies and other structures responsible for the security of the Crimean Bridge are present around the clock in full combat readiness and are ready to repel any attack, the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov said earlier.
