Wisteria blossomed in the KFU Botanical Garden

In the Botanical Garden. N. V. Bagrova of the Crimean Federal University, wisteria blossomed. The collection includes varieties of Chinese wisteria and floriferous. The color of flowers varies from white to lilac-pink shades.
Wisteria is a genus of climbing flowering deciduous vines that belongs to the legume family. China, Japan and the eastern United States are considered to be the birthplace of wisteria. This perennial woody vine can reach a length of 15-18 meters., — the press service of the university quotes the engineer of the Botanical Garden. N. V. According to her, wisteria grows very quickly, and its age can reach 120-150 years. In the KFU Botanical Garden, plants less than ten years old are presented.
Wisteria flowering usually occurs at the end of April — beginning of May, lasts for 10-15 days, depending on weather conditions.
