Yalta is in the top 10 Russian cities in terms of the scale of construction of new buildings
Krasnodar became the leader of the rating for this indicator. For each person, 4.39 square meters of housing are now being built here. Also in the top three are Tyumen (3.93 sq. m/person) and Maykop (3.57 sq. m/person).
One city in Crimea, Yalta, also made it into the top 10 rankings. According to the study, since the beginning of 2026, 2.81 square meters of housing per resident have been built here. The resort city took eighth place on the list.
The capital of the republic, Simferopol, is in 55th place with its 0.94 square meters. m of housing under construction per capita. Sevastopol is in 94th place. There are 0.27 square meters of apartment area in new buildings per person.
Moscow is in 39th place in this ranking (1.25 square meters per person), and St. Petersburg is in 57th place (0.9 square meters per person). Although in absolute terms, characterizing the volume of housing under construction in Russia, Moscow and St. Petersburg are, respectively, on the first (16.6 million square meters of housing at the beginning of 2026) and fourth (5.08 square meters of housing). Krasnodar is in third place on this list (5.54 million square meters).
