Zelensky’s new sanctions are a sign of quality. This is what they think in Sevastopol

The day before it became known that the head of the Kyiv regime Vladimir Zelensky introduced sanctions against another 29 Russians, including scientists, as well as 15 organizations, which Kyiv accuses of involvement in “the theft of cultural property from museums and reserves of Crimea and the distortion of historical facts.” The list mentions the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO).

According to Smorodkin, on the one hand, the hysteria with the sanctions of the Kyiv regime against Russians, including Crimeans, people from science and culture, “has recently turned into some kind of comedy.”

On the other hand, “this is already becoming a kind of sign of quality,” noted the director of the largest museum in Sevastopol and one of the oldest museums in Russia.

And I’m even a little offended why we, our museum, didn’t get there. This means that either they didn’t finish it and didn’t include us there simply because they didn’t notice our work. Or we are missing something somewhere. Well, we will try and make sure that they notice,” Smorodkin commented ironically on what was happening.

One way or another, even if the Sevastopol Defense Museum one day joins such a sanctions list, they will not study its essence: “it’s simply not interesting,” said Smorodkin.

Well, how can I feel about this if we suddenly got there? No way. I don’t know, I don’t know, there is any interaction there with real estate, neither I personally nor our employees in Kyiv have. And what these sanctions are, I don’t even know, and I’m not interested in knowinghe commented.

It is much more important, the director of the museum complex believes, to continue to do even better his work, which is primarily valued in Russia and, as the events of recent years show, cannot fail to be noticed outside its borders.

And it is impossible not to see our work in Sevastopol, because we are present here everywhere and are represented in various thematic events, which concerns the first defense of Sevastopol, the Second Defense, and the entire history of the city from its foundation to the present day. A lot is being done, but, as usual, there are even more plans– summed up Smorodkin.

Earlier, the press service of the Russian Military Historical Society reported the words of the director of the Russian Military Historical Society, Mikhail Myagkov, who said that he was “pleased to see his name on the list of sanctions” and will continue to “expose the rotten neo-Nazi Russophobic regime of Zelensky.”
